AFT Asia to co-locate with the region’s largest automotive after-market event attracting Asia’s OEM’s, fleet operators, government agencies, transport operators and vehicle convertors, over 10,000 trade buyers expected. The exhibition also welcomes for the first time the support of the industry’s international Association, NGV Global.
“The co-location of AFT Asia and TAPA 2014 from 28-30 April 2014 in Bangkok will create the most important automotive trade gathering ever staged in Southeast Asia. AES is delighted to partner alongside the Thailand Auto-Part Manufacturer Association’s event, move out of the crowded November schedule and combine our collective strengths to forge a long-term alliance of great significance to the region,” explained David Aitken, Managing Director of Asian Exhibition Services (AES) Ltd.
AFT Asia, is Asia-Pacific’s only dedicated alternative fuel transport exhibition with the next edition to be held from 28-30 April at BITEC in Bangkok. It is endorsed by the Asia-Pacific Sustainable Transport Foundation and NGV Global and supported by the Ministry of Industry, the Department of Industrial Promotion and the Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau.
The co-location of AFT Asia 2014 alongside TAPA 2014 is widely welcomed by industry leaders and will forge a partnership event that is likely to attract in excess of 10,000 trade buyers from throughout the region, the previous event in 2012 attracted attendees from 47 countries. TAPA’s auto-parts profile is complimentary to AFT Asia’s buyer group and creates a very strong industry alliance and will attract a very high level of regional buyers.
The AFT Asia 2014 exhibition is a business platform for international manufacturers of alternative fuel technology to meet Asia’s leading fleet operators, vehicle manufacturers, engine and component manufacturers, vehicle converters, fuel suppliers and distributors, infrastructure service providers, municipal governments and automotive professionals. The event will be supported by an Industry Forum staged by the Asia-Pacific Sustainable Transport Foundation and feature top-level speakers from throughout the world.
Throughout Asia, particularly in Thailand, there are many alternative fuel vehicle options available, to include CNG, LNG, LPG, biodiesel, hybrids, ethanol and hydrogen applications. Many of these technologies were strongly featured at the inaugural 2012 event in Bangkok. In April the full spectrum of alternative clean transport will be displayed at AFT Asia 2014 with highlight features being the VIP Forum, technical workshops and vehicle showcase.
Fleet operators, OEMs and end users are seeking alternative fuel solutions for their immediate investments. In 2012 the event was Southeast Asia’s leading alternative fuels exhibition where participating companies from 18 countries and professional trade visitors from 47 countries gathered for the 3 day event in Bangkok. “The overwhelming message at the event, from fleet operators in particular, was that alternative fuel transport is the future but in every country and in every city in Asia there are different challenges and different solutions”, explained Brett Jarman, President of the Asia-Pacific Sustainable Transport Foundation.
AFT Asia is organized by Asian Exhibition Services (AES) Ltd., Asia’s leading alternative fuel event specialists and European and Asian representative of ACT Expo 2014 and NGV Global 2014 in Long Beach California, USA from 5-9 May. AES is headquartered in Bangkok with representative offices in London, Singapore, Shanghai, Delhi and Buenos Aires.
